Trent Bridge renowned for being one of the finest cricket venues worldwide it is the worlds third oldest Test ground and the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
3bit have been working closely with NCCC for over 4 years. Every year just before the season starts we will revamp the existing website with new features and refresh the whole design and layout. We will always consider the current guidelines so that visually users still recognise the brand.
We began our 4th year working with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club with a major site update.
At the end of the 2009 season we decided to send a survey to the 30 000 email subscriber list to get their feedback on how the website should move forward. The site feedback survey gave us clarification that news and video would play a major part of the site for the 2010 season.
NCCC wanted to stay ahead of the game and maintain the best county website. Essentially we had to design a website with good aesthetics, useable interface design and easy to manage CMS for the Clubs in-house marketing team.
“As a leading professional cricket club and an established Test Match Venue, it is essential that our web presence stands out from the crowd, delivers information to our members and supporters and serves as a hub for the commercial elements of our business.
3bit have developed our site with ease of use in mind whilst embracing new trends and technologies that have helped us to stay ahead of our competitors.
The support of 3bit was a key factor in our recent success in the "Best Website" category at the "Business Of Cricket Awards 2010" and we continue to enjoy an excellent relationship with Jatinder and his colleagues.
3bit have provided exceptional support for our business and I have no hesitation in recommending them to lead your web pro jects.

For the homepage we incorporated a new feature led area that could show all main news stories as well as video interviews, video highlights and audio podcasts. The new focused home page reduced bounce rates considerably and led to users staying on the website for longer periods of time.
Updates to the player profiles allowed us to reuse video footage of the players normally used for in-game previews and pre match entertainment on the big screens. This gave the profiles an extra element of rich media content.
Updates to the online shop saw NCCC introduce event based products in the form of coaching, international hampers and pre match meals seeing revenue for the shop was increased over 50%
