Curve Theatre are based in the Cultural quarter of Leicester. The architecture of the building is a state of the art design by renowned architect Rafael Viñoly.
Curve Theatre launched on 11 November 2008 while previously operated as Haymarket Theatre between 1973 - 2007.
With two auditoriums with seating capacity of 750 and 350 respectively and a power flying system which benefited shows such as their Christmas 2009 production of Peter Pan.
Curve Theatre approached us with the requirement to produce a flash based online game and microsite for their Christmas production Peter Pan. The focus was to run the game prior launch of the show to help drive pre-Christmas ticket sales.
Our storyboard/synopsis started with the open sea and the galleon of Hook, with his pirates taking centre stage. Peter flies around the ship while Hook and his Pirates throw numerous objects to knock him down. The aim of the game is to gain a high score and beat your friends. Along the way there are score bonuses and special bonuses to collect, which all account to your total score. At any time you are able to pause the game to continue later and are able to forward the game to a friend to compete against each other.
Curve later contacted us for an email marketing system. They required a fool proof way of creating emails which would allow them to generate emails efficiently without the requirement to understand HTML coding language.
We have already have our own bespoke content managed newsletter builder, which allows users to generate HTML emails on the fly along with text only versions. We tailored the CMS specifically to Curves requirements and implemented 6 template designs for their different campaigns.
They are now able to send HTML branded emails to their list of 30 000+ subscribers, keeping them up to date with the latest shows and events. They are also able to specifically target emails as follow ups to previous show goers to thank them for their visit and also target future shows which they may be interested in attending. The solution also allows them to send unlimited emails with no charge per email or per subscriber.
