If you’ve visited our website before you will notice that we have kept the content structure and most of the content in the same format, as we felt that it worked well.

Analysis of our web statistics showed a huge increase of mobile, tablet and netbook users. Our main focus was to create a cleaner, simpler, and sleeker design which would also accommodate the varying sized devices which everyone are using today.

We have integrated the use of HTML5 along with the use of Media Queries. Media Queries allows us to set specific layout and styles for individual screen sizes, essentially a different layout for different devices. This allows us to focus the user experience depending on the device and screen size.

Inside this Winter edition congratulations to NCCC for winning the Best Media Management and Commercial & PR Team of the Year Awards at the ECB Business of Cricket Awards Ceremony. Also congratulations on winning the bid to host Ashes Tests at Trent Bridge in 2013 and 2015.

With the launch of their all new Knaus Sky Ti and Sun Ti motorhomes at the Motorhome and Caravan Show on the 11th October at the Birmingham NEC, they required a visual website which would catch the potential customers eye by using the trademark rear light cluster of the Knaus motorhome.

As the launch date was key to the relaunch of the brand within the UK we integrated a Day, Hour and Minute countdown to the big launch.

A contact form with captcha was included for a clear call to action for user enquiries.

Following an extensive transformation of the Radcliffe Road Stand, Trent Bridge briefed us to create an all new website that would hilight that Trent Bridge was not only a world class cricket ground but one with impressive event management facilities for everything
from an intimate breakfast meeting to a large conference, exhibition or wedding reception.

Working with photography created by ickootu http://www.ickootu.co.uk we aimed to utilise the spectacular view as full screen images overlaid with a simple navigation and content.

Underneath the simplicity of the website lies our own bespoke content management system (CMS) which allows trent bridge to manage pages, background and gallery images. Cross browser compatible Typekit fonts were used to match closely with the Brand guidelines.

In collaboration with Work Design the designers of the original branding and print based material for BTOI. The website needed to follow the same fresh and clean styling to showcase the BTOI products in it’s best light.

The focus of the new website was drawn towards the scenic inspiration of the photography and Coastal artefacts. Utilising the full size photography within the background to set the mood and overlaying products and text directly over the photos.

The navigation and ordering process have been designed with usability and functionality as the main consideration. Payment is via paypal checkout which redirects back to the BTOI website for confirmation.

The website is wrapped with our custom made CMS which manages both the page content, products and orders along with reports and stats of purchases.

The blog is powered by WordPress which we have replicated the main websites design which ensures the user a seamless experience. We integrated a custom script to the blog which allows us to load in the dynamic navigation of the main website which automatically updates when navigation items are added/edited on the main website.

Designs were supplied from HSH’s in-house design team which we then took over to build into XHTML pages and integrated into our base CMS system allowing us to add/edit content quickly, along with the flexibility of switchable templates.

The website is linked to social media such as Facebook, Youtube and Twitter feed updates straight to the homepage. We also included a Google map mashup of all the HSH Store locations.

Due to them being appointed as an Official partner to Michelin we had to ensure that emails had the best chance of reaching and engaging with their customers, offering them a reliable and consistent service along with the flexibility of expanding mailing lists.

The solution we offered RMA allows them to send unlimited emails to an unlimited number of subscribers without any pay per send fees. Our system also offers full reports and statistics along with reads/opens, link tracking, split testing, multiple lists, spam score ratings and much more.

The website promotes ticket sales for up coming fixtures for the Notts Outlaws along with keeping users up to date with the latest NCCC tweets. It is also a home for users to visit for related updates such as Match Reports specific to the T20.

Using the standard industry standard artwork files from the print based design we were able to convert those files straight into the correct format for our page turner software.

Our page turner software allows simple usability and works across all mobile formats including iPhone and iPad unlike many others. We are also able to accommodate video media and animation within the page spreads.

We integrated a google map mashup to showcase the zonal membership packages they are offering to members in 2011 dependant on their home location from the new Spyder Club HQ in Silverstone.

Users can Show/Hide the Zones and zoom in/out of the map to check their location and see which zone they fall under.

We also created a new fixed header banner at the top of the site to drive traffic to the new Members section

We integrated our new CMS framework which is much more user friendly utilising subtle Jquery tabbing for ease of use and making it possible to skip to relative sections at speed. Another key update we implemented was a form builder for the templates. This would allow us to build bespoke template designs which varied in content. While previously we were restricted to a Title, Body content, and one image per news item. We could now vary the article types and add/remove text fields as required and also place the content where ever we wished on the page.

The system has been a great advantage to Curve due to anybody in the office being able to create HTML branded emails without any knowledge of HTML coding, as it is fully automated.

This is fully integrated into the sending part of the system which controls all of the mailing lists and subscribers. Curve even have the system linked to their ticketing system database which allows them to send targeted emails to users who attended a specific show, which is a great advantage for their customer relations.

Another advantage of our system is that there are no monthly costs, no charges per email or charges per subscriber.

They required a website which would explain to users in detail their extensive list of services and expertise. They also wanted to make users aware of the importance of Fire safety and regulations.

We also integrated a wordpress blog for the news to enable news to be updated easily and effectively.

They managed to video a small amount of video footage while in Spain with their members, and asked us if we could utilise the limited footage and produce a short reel of the trip to show potential members the locations they are attending and give them an overall feel of the trips.

We sifted through the video footage and agreed with the client that we should produce a short video snippet showing the most exciting footage, showcasing the winding roads, the fast stretches and most importantly the members enjoying the bikes. We wanted to keep the noise of the bikes as this gives the best sense of speed so we decided on a very mellow sound track sit softly in the background.

A new website had been long overdue and we were asked to build a site which could be easily updated and visually dynamic.

Design wise we focused a nice sized feature area which would showcase the latest featured news, typography we kept clear and bold for legibility.

We integrated a bespoke CMS which would allow them to update the website easily, we also fed the front end of the website with news feeds from both the ECB and Notts County Cricket Club. The CMS also contained a facility to upload PDF media for the Document Library of downloads, they are also able to update the League tables which allows the teams and other users to keep tabs on their League position.

As Director of DMS Racing Ltd, Dixon Cheng approached us to build an e-commerce website to house their extensive list of performance car parts they have for sale.

The initial design was to have a feature area which could focus on specific products or offers, which could be interchangeable. The homepage would also focus on “Latest products” and “Most viewed products”. The e-commerce system has the usual facilities of product management, related products, discount codes, and product stock control. The order process also has an automated email flow which will keep the buyer informed of the purchase process.

There are full reporting facilities which show you total sales, by monthly, by weekly or the option to select targeted dates. You can also check the most popular product sales, products still in carts, abandoned carts, list customers by totals, popular search terms and much more.

We integrated the web shop with Barclays ePDQ payment gateway and PayPal’s payment gateway, which both call back to complete the order.

To get their opinion and feedback of elements which they would like in the website and also positive and negative points to improve on. We acquired the data by sending a tailored email to the mailing list using the Email solution which we had supplied to NCCC. We then integrated our survey software to gather their data. NCCC kindly offered some great prizes for users entered into the prize draw for completing the survey.

The survey feedback gave us clarification that users wanted extensive news coverage and video footage. We integrated this via a new feature area on the homepage, allowing NCCC to flag up featured news along with video hi-lights, interviews and podcasts.

Improvements to the Online Shop with, event based products, hampers and pre match meals saw a revenue increase of 50%.

We setup an online solution for a one off fee which would allow them to send templated E-newsletter’s and allow them to track there progress, while also cleaning up their email lists with bounce tracking. They have full user access to the email system so they can manage their campaigns, view reports and create mailing lists along with managing subscribers.

The VfO approached us via our colleague Ian Lockwood. They required a closed website for their new business which would allow members to log in and utilise a host of services and business contacts. We built an Events/Meeting manager allowing members to reserve there place for specific events, a panel of experts list which functioned with an ajax search filter to allow users to find appropriate suppliers quickly. The member login was also integrated to a Forum/Bulletin board for members to discuss relevant subjects.

Work Design designed the initial email in which we then built an HTML and text only version of the templates. These were then integrated in to the email system which Barrie Stephens can select and add appropriate body copy, subject title and send onto their specifically targeted subscribers. The system stores a full list of Reports such as read tracking, link tracking, forwards, bounces and unsubscriptions.

There is full campaign management with the ability to send recurring emails, autoresponders and split testing, you can generate unlimited lists and add an unlimited number of subscribers.

We were approached by the Curve to produce a fun and exciting game based on their Christmas Production of Peter Pan. (Thanks for the referral from our friends at Work Design)

Our storyboard/synopsis started with the open sea and the galleon of Hook, with his pirates taking centre stage. Peter flies around the ship while Hook and his Pirates throw numerous objects to knock him down. The aim of the game is to gain a highscore and beat your friends. Along the way there are score bonuses and special bonuses to collect, which all account to your total score. At any time you are able to pause the game to continue later and are able to forward the game to a friend to compete against each other.

A new redesign was put in place to drive focus on up and coming fixtures as well as match reports on the most recent games. The new fixtures calendar, uses JSON technology to keep the calendar up to date, it is a much lighter platform than XML and much more compatible with different mediums.

With a new flash feature to highlight the latest news giving a more uplifting homepage along with a more vibrant colour scheme, this also followed through to a new Email Template Design. We also implemented a new media player was introduced for Video casts as well as Podcasts and a live feed from the Trent Bridge, Twitter.

During the Twenty20 World Cup we produced a Microsite to promote the venue due to slow sales. Utilising our Email Marketing Suite and sending E-shots to their 30000+ member mailing list, within 2 weeks we had received 80 000 unique visits to the Microsite and tickets had sold out.

Located in the Heart of London DMS is surprisingly one of very few Motor sport companies specialising in race car and track preparation in the capital.

Using a mixture of Javascript and CSS we were able to create a subtle and useable interface which showcases GWH’s architecture.

Behind the scenes is a fully content managed site which gives GWH full control of their website. General news, articles and projects can all be created, edited as required. There is also a specific module which allows them to feature any of their project gallery images on the homepage.

Lynam Tax approached 3bit with requirements for an online solution to promote their business. They wanted to showcase the extra benefits of a more personal and independent approach.

We agreed that a Content managed website would be a necessity and produced a bespoke solution. The site would be quite text heavy to give users a wealth of knowledge.

The design would be accessible, professional, and usable. A WordPress blog was also integrated to push tax related news and details of up and coming Lynam Tax Lectures.

We submitted a proposal for a total New Design, Development of a new content management system, an improved email marketing solution with a much more usable template builder and a general restructure of workflow and usability.

The website showcases the range of bikes in stock with in-detail specs also allowing users to purchase securely online via HSBC’s secure e-payments and Google Checkout. Users can also keep up to date with the Univega Race Team via the online blog.

There is full read, link and bounce tracking which is a receipt of acceptance and also a measure of success rate.

To produce the website we had 3 main challenges which were to produce a front end interface which would appeal and function to the consumer market, secondly an administration area for restauranteurs to update their restaurant details, photographs, special offers and also reveal up to date restaurant bookings, and thirdly an administration area for Go Dine staff to confirm bookings with the restaurants and send out automated details and reminders to the customers.

The key to the growing success has been the close relationship between the team and the consistency of revisiting the site as a whole, to the in keeping of seasonal updates in the same way as a restaurant’s menu.

The persistence of updated news, match reports and raising awareness of upcoming news and events via our online email marketing software draws the user in to return to the site.

Since the revamp we have seen a 15% increase of unique visitors with an average of 3000 > 4000 unique visits per day and a peak of 11419 unique visits from a single day in October.

We have recently launched their New website weapon which gives their users, details about their portfolio of high performance bikes for hire. The most impressive part of the website is the Members area. Members can log in via our secure system where they can then book and cancel bikes online for future pickup. The system automatically calculates and deducts an appropriate number of points from the members profile.

Spyder Club are able to book bikes in and out via the Administrator Dashboard. When bikes are booked back in, the system automatically calculates total mileage used by the member and also stores the bikes total mileage in the bike profile.

Spyder Club received a full bespoke content management facility for the website as well as administration for bikes and members.
